After years of searching for a site to relocate the Cairo Animal Hospital in Highland Park, Illinois, just northwest of Chicago, Dr. Cairo found an existing building to renovate. The 8,260 SF brick structure was already an attractive building and the design respected its original configuration and composition. Dormers were added on the roof to provide added headroom for doctor's offices, a conference room and storage on the second floor.
