Companion Animal Clinic is a satellite facility to its "parent", the award winning Companion Animal Hospital, also designed by rfa several years earlier. The Clinic was designed to meet the increasing demands of clients located far from the main Hospital. It handles only routine treatments and refers all major surgeries back to the Hospital. With a full-time technician residing in an upper-level apartment, the facility is able to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The colorful multi-level waiting area reflects its parent hospital's decor. The Clinic was designed to expand into a full-service hospital with the future addition of a surgery room, X-ray room and hospital wards. Later rfa did make this addition a reality and today, under new ownership, the expanded facility is now known as the Allenstown Animal Hospital.
