Near Houston, Texas, on the Gulf Coast, the Mayde Creek Animal Health Center was designed to harmonize with the local-Spanish style architecture. This hospital features quarry tile roofs, stucco walls with a stone base and vaulted colonnades. The entrance is marked by a large arched opening that leads to an open-air central courtyard. On the right side of the courtyard is a boarding facility. A grooming salon is straight ahead and the hospital is to the left. Clients may wait for their appointments either in the Waiting Room, with its exposed wood roof, or in open-air courtyard.
