Located on a sloping site alongside a major highway, access and visibility were major site design objectives for this two-story 10,226 SF hospital. Most of the hospital’s medical facilities and boarding areas are located on the upper level of the building, directly accessible from the client parking lot. The staff parking lot is located at the lower level of the building, along with the staff lounge, as well as space for a future training and obedience school.
The cat boarding ward faces the highway, providing entertainment for the cats as well as passing motorists. The Central Treatment Room is illuminated on all four sides by clearstory windows filling the space with natural light from above.
