Temporarily housed in portions of what was previously an abandoned two-story commercial building, the Boston Animal Shelter desperately needs a major renovation. The shelter is both an adoption center and an animal control facility serving the entire Boston Metropolitan Area. rfa has been retained by the City of Boston to transform the current makeshift facility into a state-of-the-art animal shelter. It will include full medical care facilities, housing for a variety of small animals including exotics, and interactive areas to promote and facilitate adoption. This project is currently a work in progress.
