The City of Little Rock decided to build an animal shelter that embodies a new progressive approach to animal care; embracing the goals of adoption and community education. Constructed on a highly visible and picturesque site, the new facility combines animal adoption services together with animal control services. Designed to be built in phases, when completed the building will also include animal medical facilities, training spaces, meeting rooms and administrative offices. An Interactive Corridor functions as a "central spine" with educational facilities, donation honorariums and multiple opportunities to encourage adoptions in an enjoyable, uplifting, sun-filled environment that is finished with warm colors and natural materials. |

| Currently the City of Little Rock is in the construction phase of our new Animal Services facility. As this structure is nearing completion I continue to be pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfulness of the design. The knowledge of Warren and his staff have in the care of animals really has shown from the standpoint of ease of maintenance once this structure is occupied. Warren was most concerned about making sure that the design was what we wanted. Our design allowed for additional space to be added long after the structure has been constructed and will allow expansions in the future. Warren was also helpful in providing materials that could be used in fund raising. This helped us raise additional money for additions even before the construction was completed. In closing, we made the correct choice in our decision to partner with Warren Freedenfeld and Associates on this project and will be rewarded for this decision for many years to come. |
