The Kowloon Café became one of the original anchor restaurants.  The interior design and architectural "language" reflects the creation of a new Asian cuisine emerging from traditional Eastern dishes.  Similarly, the architecture is a metaphor for new forms, materials and details that appear to "grow out of" traditional Asian design.
